I have a custom rifle built on a pre 64 model 70 in .220, which was the original caliber. The rifle was built with a fast twist barrel for shooting the heavier bullets.

My dilemma is the action doesn't allow for enough COAL. It is a long action but it has a bolt stop and the magazine seems to have a block in it to make it shorter as well. Is there any way to modify this or change it out to accommodate a longer .220 swift round?

I think a gunsmith can remedy that.
