Seems a little earlier than usual to me but we have a couple that are rubbing out already. Anyone else?

I have about 20% that have already rubbed all the velvet off of their horns. I am surprised at how early this is being done. I'm in Eastland county

Drove back from Del Rio to San Angelo last week in the evening. From the check-point until El Dorado, about 25-30% of the bucks were hard-horned already. Saw a few really nice one's along the way though smile

I do no rub my velvet early
Rubbing early is too squirrely
I like my horns to grow up knurley
Before I rub the bright and pearly

If you can't laugh at yourself, give me a call. I'll gladly laugh at you.

Western Goliad County....

Found these this morning along a 100 yard stretch of road, with a lot more along the road but just a bit off the road. These are a couple of days old with the brown color. It rained on them yesterday also.

I jumped two bucks in a low area about an hour ago in a drainage that were still in velvet but they were 4-5 yr old bucks.
