They are very good to eat but they are pricy given meat recovered vs price per lb. I've never weighed a blackbuck doe but they are small yet very tasty little animals.

I killed three. A great buck and two doe on a hunt with Everything Exotics. Hunt was fine. Tough but fine. Meat was edible but I gave much of it away and won't kill another one unless it's bigger or blacker than the one I have and it will have to be a bow kill. Tastes like goat.

I have only had a buck, but the meat was good. We smoked the two hindquarters, grilled the backstrap and made jerky out of the neck and shoulders. Wasn't a bad bite in the bunch

I like blackbuck very much. Don't over cook it, I didn't cook any of the steaks anything over medium, with a preference towards medium rare.
Let the meat soak in some ice water after shooting to drain the blood out. Every animal I do this with never exhibits any gamey flavor.
If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today...

I've shot at least one BB doe every year since 2010, love the meat. If you want a suggestion, cook a whole hindquarter on the grill. Start by de-boning it but keeping it whole, then marinate it in greek yogurt, minced garlic, fresh thyme, ground coriander, coarse salt, coarse ground pepper and a little dried oregano and red pepper flakes (for 1-2 days). Wipe most of the marinade off, go to a very hot grill to start, then move to indirect heat until no more than medium. Serve with a cucumber and tomato salad and fresh pita.

They are very good to eat but they are pricy given meat recovered vs price per lb. I've never weighed a blackbuck doe but they are small yet very tasty little animals. We shoot them from 85-90 pounds usually (before gutting). Occasionally we will get one over 90 pounds. It is not a lot of meat, but it is excellent. I shoot 3-4 a year. I often have friends ask if I have any more to share, I have learned to say no.

You can barbecue it in the ground and make it edible as long as you have enough beer to go with it. And you might be right about the diets but fallow tastes too much like Texas whitetail and has a stronger odor when cooking. It's okay but I prefer elk, red deer and axis. As far as whitetail goes we pretty much only eat the ones I take in Missouri and they live on a rich diet of corn and soybeans.

Blackbuck doe is very good. I wouldn't turn it down. But you need two to get a decent amount of meat.
