What a fun night with Dave Krebs and his buddy, Mitchell. We hunted several properties, but all of the action really too place on one property and then the property across the road from it. We stalked hogs on two other places, but either the hogs were too far out for us to catch on foot or the hogs failed to materialize where we tried to intersect with them. So in those cases, it was just exercise, LOL. The zombie gene seemed dominant in these two sounders, even with the piglets.

Great job. Watching that big boar stalk was frustrating....just take the shot already....I know it wasn't you and I am sure you were thinking the same while you were filming.
As always, great stuff!!

No, in my mind, I was screaming "SHOOT IT! ... SHOOT IT!"
We all do things a bit differently. Some folks like to get as close as possible. Some like long shots. I like to get as close as needed to make a good shot and that just depends on the terrain, vegetation, and how I am feeling that day. Personally, on a hog that large, I would rather shoot it at 80 yards than 50, but like I said, we all do things differently.

Like I said on your YouTube page, I was watching the movie and trying to breathe right on the limping yote part. I was also with Texas buckeye about taking the shot on the big boar. Flip side, I know that I am always doing it different depending on a variety of circumstances. Though it looks right to take the shot much earlier in this vid, we may not be seeing something the shooter is. Then there are just those times you like to see how close you can get. As always, good job!

The Zeuses are both 30 hz. The Zeus 3 has not been updated with the new firmware (yet). The Zeus 2 (used as a handheld video camera) has been updated. Breath holding, LOL, I think we all to this when watching other people's vids, waiting on the shot. I hate it when my breath runs out before the shot gets made and I have to make a massive gasp to get enough air back in quickly so that I can be ready when the shot finally comes. dfw is right, especially in this case. The shooter had a very different angle on the hog than I had. I conversed with him about it. A lot of what looked like a good shot from my angle was butt or strongly quartered away views from his angle.

Still makes me want to shoot when I don't have the gun. We all go through this when watching videos.

That thermal is sweet! I've been lucky enough to see quite a few of them lately out in the field. Great video as always.
