So last season we had to replace the motor unit on one of our feeders. so i went to walmart and bought a 60 dollar wildgame innovations feeder motor. Well hooked it up and everything was good. Went back to change the battery with a fresh fully charged battery and the new battery read like it was empty. cant really remember what it said on the screen just that the battery part had an E on it. So i charged a different battery and the same thing. So i thought okay the timer must be bad. Bought a new timer and it worked. well come deer season my wife sat in the blind a total of 5 times that the feeder did not go off. it would go off if you went out and tested it but would not go off on time. I sat some that the timer went off just fine but most of the time it did not go off and id have to run down there and test it just to get it to go off. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! well this year i bought brand new batteries thinking maybe the batteries were old. Well this is what it is doing: i now have 2 timers i can plug one in with just the battery and it reads it just fine. so i plug the timer onto the battery that is hooked up and it gives me an E reading. switch timers and it works fine! i am switching timers everytime i switch batterries and im fairly certain it is not spinning on the scheduled time!!!

i have contacted wildgame innovations a total of 4 times through facebook. email. website and phone and have yet to hear anything back....does anyone have any ideas????

Throw that piece of junk in the trash. Get another one, ANY brand but WI. I learned the hard way about WI.

WGI is junk!! I just had this conversation via PM with a couple of other members over the last week. Every product I have owned of thiers has been trash. Even their 12 volt batteries are inferior.

Buy you a solar panel. It's a very simple hookup. Also get yourself a clamp like shown below to brace the panel to a leg on your feeder. Works great and battery problem solved.

Also, you can get the right solar panel at Academy stores in the hunting section. They are like 8"x 5" for about $30.

The ONLY WGI product I've ever used that worked well and held up for years is their solar panels. They must buy them from someone else.

Yep I had problems too. First motor shorted out. I attributed it to the rough ride. Before I figured it out I sent timer back to them and they tested and said it was good. Went through deer an turkey seasons with new motor and no problems.

Cut your losses now and get "The Timer". I'd also change my spinner to "The Elimnator" while at it.
Good luck.

I'm not buying ANYTHING from a guy who dyes his hair and goatee jet black. The Timer, solar chargers and the Eliminator Plate has served me well.

Speaking of that - Can't the Papa John's guy afford better hair dye by now?

Everything WGI makes is junk. Not real sure how they stay in business. They sure have a buyer at academy paid off.

I bought a WG unit at Academy several years back. It drained the batteries so fast I just took it down. Haven't bought one since.

I'm telling you. It's the solar panel that is fixing your problems. Get you a solar panel and problems will disappear.
