 Dove hunting License question for a 10 year old

Have a son that is 10, and wondering if he has to have a license or hunters safety done, before taking him out to the fields to attempt to shoot one out of the sky?

I know that hunters safety is for sure very important and have been teaching my son on already, just wondering what the law says on what is needed legally at age 10 if anyone can help.

yep, cost is $7, you will need his SS#.

He will need a license ($7) for sure as stated above. As for hunters ed, not yet required (advisable) but 9 to 16 years old will have to be "accompanied", that is within normal voice distance of you or someone who has completed bunters ed or does not require it because of their age (like me).
My son just turned 10 this year as well and haven't taken him to hunters ed yet, but will be trying to get it this year.

Not sure where you're at but there is a Hunters Safety Course being taught at the Llano VFD next weekend.
