If something tried to cover it up I'd guess a Bobcat. They are hell on fawns Bingo. Cats try to hide and cover their kills. Coyotes don't. Setup a cam and you'll get a cat pic tonight.

I would think it either just died or a dog killed it. A coyote would have probably taken it with him. A cat would probably at least eaten some of it. A dog would just kill it and then maybe cover it up to some extent. Bites on the rear sound like a dog to me.

ive always heard canines drag down from the hindquarters and felines drag down from the neck. so if the hair on the backside is ruffled id be looking for yotes or a domestic dog
