I overheard a conversation today that involved the county where I live. Ol boy was saying that you can kill antlerless deer during Muzzleoader season in Wilson County without a MLD.

I am going to assume that it is NOT legal to take an antlerless deer unless its a MLD permit.

Am I not understanding the law or was he right? I copied this straight from TWPD website.

Antlerless Deer General season buck limits apply, antlerless by MLD permit only.

You are correct, in your county during muzzleloader season you cannot take does unless by MLD Permit only.

VS the new law in Red River county.

Antlerless Deer General season buck limits apply, antlerless permit required only on MLD property.

In that county you can take does without special permit but if it is MLD property you need a doe permit.

I aint no pollaka just a square head German. But you is correct on the shootin anything.

We had 13 inches of rain Saturday night thru Sunday morning near Stockdale. 20 acres of my property was underwater, was looking around yesterday after the water receded and found dead fawn, there must be some other animals dead as the smell was intense near the creek
