X marks the spot where the majority of deer enter and exit the feed pen. Should be good to go assuming the blind isn't MIA come bow opener.

I don't like the quartering to you shot entering the pen. It will be quartering away when they are leaving but that will be a much riskier shot for getting them to be still for the shot. I would brush it in more as well.

I'll have some possible shots from deer coming around the pen clockwise (quartering away) and if history repeats itself many quartering away shots when leaving. I'll have a pretty good window if they stick to the exit route from last year.
Couldn't really brush it in and get it in-line with this spot without being 35-40 yards out. It's sitting at 25 yds and I'm solid at that distance

Yup that wouldn't work in West tx where I hunt. Blind would be in the next county and pink from the sun. I'm trying something new this year. Took a 5x5 piece of cattle panel and t posted it on both ends. Then I wired lots and lots of brush to it so essentially you have a small wall of brush. I'm hoping the deer will be used to seeing the huge clump there. Then when season is here I could just set my pop up behind it. And brush it in a bit. Just need to plan ahead a bit to get the bling in.
I like that bluff way behind the pop up for gun

I would have liked to brush it in, but there really wasn't a good spot to do it with a favorable wind. Didn't want cedar or other brush to come in contact with the fabric as I'm sure it would have been tore up. Who knows it may have already blown away even with four long rebar stakes.
I'll be taking a short tripod stand as a backup plan.
