I took this off my back porch this morning. Not bad for a north Bexar county buck. The rains and neighbors' plants 'been veddy veddy good to him. (I know, all the corner posts between me and my neighbors are a convoluted mess.)

I used to live off Wurzbach and Lockhill Selma in SA.

One day a buck about like that wandered into our back yard and was stuck because we had 6-ft iron fences. My dad hands me a broom and tells me, "Go flush him outta there. Don't worry, they're very docile animals."

Thing completely held its ground, stomping and blowing snot in my general direction. Pretty sure it would have killed me if I'd have gotten any closer to the docileness.

Anyhow, some good deer in SA/Bexar.

No body thinks of it as big deer country, but give them an opportunity to get a little age and they grow too. Went to a party out that direction a month or so ago and saw some really nice bucks in the neighborhood.

Very nice looking buck. Shouldn't be much longer before the boys quit running together.

Hello everyone, I have been following THF and learning from all its members for years. I finally decided to sign-up and start communicating! I have been hunting since I was 10yrs old (55 now) and really have enjoyed the THF website and its members threads. I too live in far NW Bexar county and having been feeding my deer for the last 20+ years. I have had a great looking Hill Country 8 point last year he had 1 kicker and I swear it looks just like Creekrunner's deer. I'm going to give this a try and load his pic. . I live west of Leon Springs for reference. Hopefully is loaded.

Pretty close bud, yours looks a bit heavier in mass to me and may have a sticker off the righthand G3 unless that's part of tree branch in the background..

Welcome BryanK! I live just southwest of the Flagstop convenience store on IH10.

Yeah, these kind of bucks usually stand by the road and stare at me as I drive in from 5 hours on the road coming back from my deer lease. bang

Went on vacation to Bulverde last year and we had huge bucks like that almost eating corn out of our hands. The does would come right up to us, kids had a blast.

When I was assigned to the NW Substation off of Prue Rd close to medical center we would always see a couple of humdingers off of southwell rd. We would always hunt their sheds in the spring in the fields they tend to hang around.
