I'm currently on a 188 acre lease. Just myself. I had a hunting partner up until the year before. Funny after having the place to myself last year, I ended up shooting a big 9 pt.

While I kinda like having the place to myself... I'm finding that it's a little lonely and takes a lot of work.

Anyways, I'm thinking of opening up the lease.

How many people would you think 188 acres hold? I'm thinking 1 additional person or (dad/kid) combo.
How much should the cost be?

Specifics on the place:
Montague County - near Nocona Lake. Less than 1 1/2 hrs from DFW
Cold Camp - no water or electric. I had to bring in an RV and generator for the wife.
Land owner has given me full access for the year.
I have blinds, stands, tripods and 4 feeders running corn and protein. Late start this year,
Deer and Turkey, I've only seen one pig on camera last year, which took out 3 of 4 feeders... never did get a gun on him.

Would be looking for someone to share the workload. The buck in the middle is what I shot last year on the property.

Thoughts?

Whatever you are paying for it, then half that with just one other person.

If you do it post the price here to save a bunch of unnecessary PMs.

Thanks - that's what I was thinking and seems fair. Price would be $1100 for deer and spring turkey.

Unless you need to save money I would keep it to myself. You can ask someone you trust to help with the work in exchange for a hunt.

Just a thought.

I would do this or have someone you know well and trust lease the property with you. Possibly someone who also has another place to hunt as well
