I just bought a 2016 Polaris 900 H.O 4x4 crew I hope I made the right decision with all the negative things I am reading on here about Polaris.

I spent a couple days riding around a Mule FX Pro last year near Sonora TX and was very impressed. It's twice the machine my TransMule is in every way. A lot more power, way better ride, more space. Even a better system converting from a two seater to a four seater. It's also twice the money, which I just can't justify when my TransMule does everything I want and then some.

I bought a Yamaha Viking this year and love it. Very smooth ride, lots of room in the bed for hauling gear.

I noticed the BBB has had issues with Massimo but I think it's more issues with them and their 1 yr warranty

Cub Cadet sells an upgraded model of the Massimo called the challenger... wider stance better suspension bigger tires nicer rims... its comes fully loaded and much cheaper than other UVs. They also have a 750 crew model with power steering standard

Ok, how many of y'all have had fuel injected UTV's gum up and require a manifold cleaning or replacement?

If so on what models?

Im in the buy a beater truck or jeep club.

I just cant get my head wrapped around the stick shock... financing 14k for a supped up rollover buggy? Then pay the trip to the ER...no thanks.

We've been running jeeps for years. Hell you can buy two or three old wranglers for 14k. For years almost all the parts are the same and have tons of interchangeable parts. Plus as others said you can go to town.

I like the the ease of getting in and out of the UTV over the jeeps and old trucks, I do have a fj40, 95 tacoma and had a yj but none are street legal so still dont take them to town, except for around the house where the store is only 5 miles of public road, but the AC is nice in the tacoma on the hot days

My neighbor went the Wrangler Jeep route with AC. He could drive it to the gas station, to town, and all around his land. He never had any issues where it would go, and the AC was always nice. But he doesn't like wrenching, and like all Jeeps, you are always fixing it. I think the biggest difference between UTV's and on the road vehicles is that the UTV's just keep going and going off road, but every vehicle designed to be street legal at one time is going to be a never ending project to keep it going. My guess is those that are recommending a Jeep, Suzuki, or whatever, are all mechanics, and enjoy fixing their vehicles.

After years of dropping his Jeep off at the mechanic to fix the latest issue with it, he sold the jeep last year and is now enjoying a Landpride UTV that he got cheap after they discontinued making them.

I bought a 2016 Yamaha Viking. It took me around 6 months talking to folks looking at reviews take them with grain salt. Any way I bought in Ok due to you don't pay sails tax that saves me $1300. That is if you are looking for new.

I just bought a 4010 mule 4 seater today. I'm concerned my dog box may not fit in the back. The 4 seater is narrower than the 2 seater according to the specs I looked at online after buying. I guess I'll see when I pick it up in the morning.
I drove the Pro-FX. I really liked it but couldn't make myself come off of the extra $3K.

To each there own..

I have had "Lease" vehicles and my time is important to me, When I go the last thing I need is being under a Hood. They served the purpose at the time but I enjoy the ease of a UTV and reliability. There are some great ones out now and with maintenance and GREEN MARINE GRADE STABIL WITH PREMIUM Fuel they all will all work out. I have never had a major issue with a Ranger, just changed out my Belt due to my own fault. I love a smooth comfortable ride, but I will go with a Diesel Unit when I move on from my 15 and I really am impressed with the Units that Navasot sells. They have the smooth ride and more Power and having J5 Tractors to stand behind it is a Win Win cheers

I've had a ranger for 4 years. It's been a great vehicle. They seem to hold their value well.

I had chuckwagon 2wheel drive with a 11hp Honda lawnmower engine on it for 10 years, never any issues with it. Did all needed. Loved that it had a pull start, when the battery was dead, started first pull every time. Bought a 570 ranger crew 2 years ago and no regrets or problems with it.much smoother and faster than the old chuckwagon. Not sure on other brands but the only issue I had with Polaris was it only came with a 6 month Warranty. No problems so I guess the warranty did matter.

Ok here she is picked it up yesterday

My 8 year old boy was so excited when I pulled in. He can barely reach the pedals but we drove up and down our 20 acers. Then after dinner it was well dark outside but he was begging to go ride again. I'm happy I got the power steering model cause he can drive it well.

Are you sure that's an UTV.....oh wait, I understand now, you did not get the "mud" option.. I had them apply mud to mine before I picked it up so I would not worry about getting it dirty.lol. Better hide the keys with an 8 year old. Every time I look up mine is gone when the twin 7 year old grandsons are here. Looks like you got yourself a nice one.

Questions like this never lead to a majority answer. Most people love what they have, with a minority always being screwed by the other brand.

I have a 2014 Pioneer 700-4 and love it. As to the quote above... the new 1000 appears to maybe have something going on, some chalk up the issues to not RTFM. I wouldn't call it a widespread defect per se.

I picked the 700-4 as it has a short wheelbase, but can still seat 4 people if needed and it's a Honda. I've never been let down by a Honda ride from Trail 70's to Goldwings.

There's a Ranger club just like the Yeti club. stir smile

When I picked my Ranger up in Kyle there were 2 Hondas in there when transmission problems. I researched so much and saw lots of talk about this. If they weren't so new I would've considered a Honda but I don't think the bugs are worked out yet. There is obviously trans mission issues
The by the book maintenance on Polaris is kinds of crazy compared to Hondas. According to the book I'm supposed to service the ranger quite often. I'm guessing most people don't do this though.
