Josh Bowman killed a bear with a spear in Alberta. Honestly one of the coolest killshot videos I've seen. His elation and euphoria after the shot and then when he finds his bear is heartwarming, as a hunter. Here's the video: Spear-killed bear

However, Under Armour, which sponsors Bowmar's wife Sarah, has undone that sponsorship. It's on their Facebook; something about ethical kills and whatnot. I think it was just because of the Change.org petition. Additionally, Albertan government has vowed to outlaw the use of spears as a legal means to kill black bears.

I think it's all a bunch of libtardation. The hunter was a javelin thrower in college, so he knew what he was doing. Baiting: we use feeders in all parts of Texas for all sorts of game. And the bear was stupid enough to come back: that's a fair kill! Canada's leftist government needs to not be dumb.

Y'all's thoughts?

This whole thing is retarded. UA dropping his wife for this is also retarded. Guess you can chalk it up to another company not to do business with since they lack a spine and apparently have a complete misunderstanding of what the word "ethical" means.

They get it from hunters, themselves. We can't even decide what is what.

This is a good point. Just peruse a lot of the threads on this forum involving ethical this and unethical that and you'll see the hunting community is very divided about ethics. As far as Under Armour, there are too many cheaper brands which are just as good (IMO) to give them any of my money under these circumstances. In the interest of complete disclosure, I don't buy Under Armour stuff anyway.

It's a business; put your emotions aside. UA decided that they have more to lose than to gain being associated with a guy running a spear threw a bear. If the general public approved, they would proudly sponsor. I personally don't care how a bear is legally taken....it is what it is.
I know they have great marketing and try to look really cool, but I think we can all do just fine by not buying any UA anyway!

Been following some of that nonsense on Facebook. Anti hunters have no logical arguments, yet we're made it to be the bad guys even they're being horrible human beings to other human beings. I don't know of a single hunter who doesn't respect the game he hunts while being rude to people: hunting teaches you patience, which makes you a better people person. Hunters are nice people and probably nicer to nature than to people (in some cases) Meanwhile the antihunting-i-don't-have-a-gender types all blow up the internet and Moshe retarded stuff like this Bowmar/UA thing happen.
