So, I am finally getting to set up on a lease I've had my name on for years. We are in the piney woods of East Texas, so having concealment against the treeline is a non-issue.

I am looking at doing a few 15-20 ft, two man ladder stands. My wife has expressed interest in hunting with me, and this should fit the bill. Plus the extra room will be nice if I'm by myself.

Is there any brands that are better or anything I should really be looking for when it comes to ladder stands, or are they all pretty much on par with each other?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Do you already have a box blind? Im imagining that your wife probably wont be a fan of sittin in the cold for a few hours at a time. Maybe look at a tripod stand that you can get a cover to go around for concealment and to help keep a little warmth in. With it backed up to the treeline it wont be much different than sitting in a tree

I do not have a box blind. As I both bow and rifle hunt, a box blind won't allow me to do that. I'm also a bit limited on time and funds, as I still have to get these setup and still have to either buy or build feeders.

A tripod stand has also crossed my mind.

In the future, I may build a box blind and spray foam insulate it, and put it on skids so it can be moved a bit easier...but I don't think there's any chance of that happening this year.

PM Ramball36 on here and get a quad pod. I have a 2 man and it is well built, roomy easily put up/moved.
