Saw a couple different types of doves when I was in Maui. Couldn't get my pics to upload but pulled these off the web.

Them and the pigeons are bad over there. They'd beg like dogs. Had one with a club foot at the bus stop every day. He'd walk around like a cripple until you have him something, then he'd walk off like he had two good legs. Had a couple public land spots for them but I never did go.

Zebra or barred dove and spotted or lace neck doves. On the island of Hawaii there are also mourning doves and sand grouse.

Not sure about dove hunts but was talking to the locals trading pics of hog hunts we had done. He used dogs.
