I found a supply of fed205 Match AR primers today.
Anyone tried these?

Yes. They are a good primer. The primer cup is a little thin, and can pierce with a stiff load. The Fed 205's are great for 223 stuff. But they would pierce very easily in my 6.5x47 Lapua. I went to the CCI #450 for the extra thick cup, and they don't pierce as easy.

So both the 205Match and the 205 MatchAR have thin cups. I would have thought the AR Match would be thicker.

I think someone posted this up earlier. It has a chart in it with the thicknesses. Yes, the 205M primer is thinner than the CCI #450.

Oh, ok. That's a new one to me. I didn't know they made that. If it has the thicker primer cup, then that's what you need. I know I will not use the standard Fed 205's for any stiff loads since they pierce easy.
