I'm getting some surface rust on the outside of my dies and a few other pieces of my reloading equipment. What can I coat them in to prevent this.

Any rust inhibitor will work. I typically use Rem-oil, Sheath or CLP as that's what I have on my bench. Give them a light coat, and wipe them down.

A little rubbing with extra fine steel wool and rust inhibitor.

clean with 0000 steel wool & light oil, wipe dry and use thisas a finish carpenter I would not contend with any rust on my tools
