Curiosity got the best of me so I bought one. Has a place to hold a mojo and several spots to clip on decoys.

I attach everything to the top of sunflower stalks.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Didn't work for me. Was advised to set Mojo's 18" or so to the ground...that has worked best so far.

Yep I got one, it's what I'm rolling with on the opener. I'm going to put a few deeks on the ground right below it. I like how it has a heavy duty bungee cord inside keeps all the poles together for quick setup and quickly packs up to go in the carrying case.

I've used it and had doves try to land on it with Deeks and mojo in the middle. Almost like a skillet shot. grin

Like anything else they're somewhat situational. I've found them to be more productive in the afternoon & evening when birds are loafing or headed to roost vs morning when their headed to feed but that's just me.

Does it whirl around in circles when you shoot it? Might make for a more sporting shot.

The rules I established with my wife are:

1) When they land on the pipes next to the decoys she can skillet shoot them.

2) When they land next to the mojo she does not get to skillet shoot the.

I can't tell you how many doves she has hammered in the red X with her little over/under 410 bore.

I was scouting for early teal one year with my son, a walk in public spot on a local lake. Saw a ton of dove all congregating in one small tree and on the ground right below it, obviously feeding on a baited area. The birds would go from the tree to the ground, ground to tree....

Put some deeks on the ground right below that dove tree set up and you are simulating dove feeding on a pile of seed. This is as close to legal bating as anything.

Come on Wayne, let her have some fun.

Opening day a few years ago. Bird came in and Christy could not have cared less about the mojo. First time the brand new decoy had been out.

She did go buy another after the hunt.

I used it last season, but did not work well for me. Maybe, I mainly hunted in the morning. I will try some tricks you guys mentioned above.

It looks like she at least had her gun patterned well.

I made a homemade version of the "Duck Vortex" machine last year. The arms on mine have receivers for for Mojo decoys and will accept the Mojo ducks or dove decoys. It worked "ok" on ducks last year but I'm anxious to try it on dove.

Mine works similar to this one but the base and decoy mounts are different. I'm hoping it really sucks the birds in, otherwise I wasted a lot of time building this thing.
