We went this weekend to set up a feeder to start throwing corn for my bow hunting spot. I have not bow hunted in 3-4 years. This year will be the year I come back for bow hunting. I have my main rifle spot, and now a new bow location that's more isolated and hard to get to with zero traffic.
I have a quad pod on the South side of the feeder for a North wind. There's a perfect spot for a ground blind on the North side for a South wind. There are several small trees making a perfect canopy for sitting under. A little trimming and we'll be in business! I'm getting excited about deer season this year!

We usually have a south wind about 75% of the time during oct. Practice shooting out of your stand so your shot is perfect if you get the opportunity. Good luck.

Chad, what quadpod are you using?
I need a tripod or (prefer) a quadpod for my kids and I to hunt out of this season, they are all either really expensive or really crappy. I was hoping academy would come out with theirs again, but haven't seen them yet.

Academy here in Monroe Louisiana has a nice one. You might look on Academy.com to find one.

Chad, what quadpod are you using? The one that is not mine, and was already there is a Game Winner from Academy. I will have to take the front arm rest out, and replace the seat. The cloth mesh ripped from weathering when I sat down on it. This stand will be ok for bow hunting, but it's probably not my preferred stand. But I really like the idea of my ground blind. I'll be going back in the next few weeks to trim it up and get it set. I'll put something round where my head will be so the deer get used to that, also.
