All too familiar with that find. After the mess they make, you may want to just burn it down and rebuild. Those are some nasty, smelly birds. #dead rodents, #hair balls, #bird poop

This is a fellow lease members blind and my two suggestions were: 1. Burn it down, and 2. Call the turtle man, then burn it down.

Go with option 2. As nasty as owls are, those young ones will eat many mice and rats for you over the years.

They have plenty of food. It would not be advisable to be a field mouse in that part of the pasture right now. I have to think that owl is picking off mice at the feeder it overlooks. Win/win for them.

Flashback; I remember helping a buddy outside Cotulla clean Owl destroyed blinds on the property he bought, nasty. But I love those varmit and pest eating owls

you guys are being a little dramatic. if its carpeted, rip out the carpet from floors and walls and if its bad enough replace the plywood floor which ive seen so badly soiled from owls it rotted out treated lumber. leave some scent wicking contraptions in the blind and it will be good to go in a month. and make sure to put the person that left the window open on double secret probation.

We checked stands this weekend, and had 4 stands with owls in them. Some had eggs, and some had babies. And yes, the stench was BAD!!!!

We have replaced the carpet and repainted the floor in many blinds. Not a big deal.
