My son was itching to get to the range today and shoot his new rifle that he got for his 10th birthday. I loaded some 125 Nosler Ballistic Tips and grabbed a couple of boxes of Remington UMC that I had in my stash, and took off for the range. After zeroing and a little barrel fouling, he walked it out to 500 yards. Once we found the correct wind hold, he made 13 hits in a row at 500. That little rifle and that little dude are both shooters.

Awesome shooting!

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

And that was shooting with the wrong hand and eye !!!

After shooting it today, I think I'm going to do the same thing. It's compact, lightweight, accurate, and cheap enough that you wouldn't have a stroke if you dropped it in the dirt. And no recoil at all with a brake on it. It's super fun to shoot.

Awesome stuff! I have one of those rifles, but it has to go back to Ruger. Don't know if it's a headspace issue or a firing pin spring, but it will dent primers, but doesn't ignite them all. Used several types of ammo and same on all. Good shooter though, when it does shoot.

Saw it at cabelas. A little unhappy with how heavy it is..wish they would have taken some more off the barrel or balanced the stock better

good for him! I've been thinking about getting one of those Ruger American Rifles in 6.5. seems like it would be a great little budget rifle.

Very nice. Way to keep those 300 blk haters in check. I love when folks say "well that round ain't no better than......" Really? It has limits and those who know them enjoy it a lot. Bolt or AR.

very good shooting, for one so young most have problem with staying focused.

I have 2 American Predator rifles 22-250, 308 the 308 has 18" barrel really like both. for a $400. pie plate rifle ( as they have been called here) they are very accurate.

when the going gets really tough, I sit down and rest
