A friend gave me an old Foxpro caller. I had it a week or so and ended up selling it. Then I wished I didn't sell it so I went and bought the Foxpro Shockwave.

Boy we are uptown now!!
I've never had so many options to use. My question is....
Is there a good scenario to use? What calls do yall start with and end with? What works best for you?

I'm thinking...maybe start with coyote howl and five min later rabbit distress. Something like that. Anyone had any success with the bobcat distress call. Sounds like a velociraptor to me:)

Wabbits will do the trick.

If nothing else run the raccoon fight/distress calls. It is amazing how many racoons will show up for a good coon fight. Even had a coon attack the call. Super fun. Other than that cottontail distress works great.

So I've been out twice on Paige Tx. They swear there are lots of Bobcats. Rabbits distress called in nothing. Woodpecker distress did call in a young group of turkeys. Last set of the evening after running a few different rabbit distress calls I went to pair of coyotes howling, then yippi go and lone femal. In came a big male coyote.
Is it true bobcats won't come in if you do coyote sounds?

I use Bay Bee cottontail , Snowshoe #2 and Eastern cotton tail and in the spring and summer pup distress for coyotes. For cats I also use the rabbit sounds and some woodpecker sounds as well as Bobcat in heat . Fox I use Platinum grey and grey fox distress . Coons I use coon fight. I also use several open and closed reed mouth calls.

Feel this may be relative to the topic.
Those of you that do use the Fox Pro do you just run the same call over and over during the same night or do you run one call for 10 or so min then change it up?
Ive brought yote's in on the yote distress call running it over and over, but it Leaves me wondering it this is the best method. I would like to use other calls and bring in coon's or bobcats.

I like to use one a while and then fade it down with the volume. Then wait as long as I can maybe 4min and start a new call.

I've learned a new trick. That has worked well for coyotes. They get called a lot in our area and are very reluctant to step into an open field. I end every session with the female callange barks. They just can't help themselves and come running out to investigate. Usually then go running out when they don't see anyone home. Then I make a howl noise with my mouth and can sometimes get a shot. So I put that call in the presets and can send it instantly

Anytime I chase coyotes I begin my stand with a younger sounding non aggressive howl.
This time of year I will follow up with prey distress. That also depends on if I have gotten a response.
Allways end a stand with pup distress.

When making cat stands I never use any sort of coyote vocals. Only busy small preyou distress sounds. And I'll remain on stand for at least 30 minutes.

The gentlemen who mentioned calling Racoons is correct. It can be very fun and fast paced. This time of year I run more racoon distress. Save the fight sounds for winter time.

Stick with high pitched small sounds for cats. As others mentioned red bird, baby cottontail, I have had luck with vole squeaks on the fox pro. A hi pitch hand call works really well though.

Be patient, just because you don't spot one doesn't mean its not there. I have seen a cat take an hour to go 35 yards on a set I had with a feather as distractor. Use a blind, keep movement down.
