Kicked off our Aoudad hunts this weekend and we started strong. Thinned out a few ewes on one property before we started chasing the big rams here next month while down in the Big Bend area we started our first trophy hunt. Our client was on a big ram the 2nd day of the hunt and made a great shot on him but he then rolled down in between 2 cliff edges and huge boulders where it was impossible to get to. After 3 days of non stop trying our guys were able to reach the ram for recovery. Sadly with this heat the cape was lost but will still get a euro out of him. Ram went just over 31". We also guided a young man just about to enter the military on his first trophy hunt. He made a great shot on his nice ram too.

That second ram from the right in the group shot is very impressive. Congratulations to your hunters. Those are actually all Ewes/Females. We did a bit of population control on that ranch as we have too many ewes racking up the protein bill.
