Looking for a shotgun gun smith, my old auto 5 will every now and then hang a shell on ejection. I've kept the gun in pristine condition over the years. Anywhere in dfw would be fine, but I'm closer to the denton lewisville area. Any suggestions on who to use.

Go see Doc Jones at Doc's Gun Shop 1600 Whitlock in Carrollton. I have had great service from him, he builds custom rifles and lots of police use him. From your area go S on I-35, exit Sandy Lake and turn left under 35 (street changes to Whitlock) and he will be 2 blocks on your left.

TDK (Aaron) on this site is located on east side of Ft Worth. That's who I would call.

I tried Doc's once. My shotgun sat there for 2 months and they didn't even touch it. Went to rays downtown for my browning.....a5 yrs ago and they did a good job. Complete disassembly, refinnish re-blue and reassemble. Also wnt to Mcclennend's in Far north dallas for my citori O/U and they did good work.

Highly unlikely that Andrew will have a gun ready to hunt with this season, but he is good.

What happened to Advanced Gunworks in Roanoak? He was quick and ran a first class shop. Internet still shows him to be there but the building is occupied by someone else and the phone isn't connected.

Just get new recoil spring and friction piece and try that. I've had a couple that needed this. Also do you have the friction piece installed correctly for the load your shooting? Would be a shame to take to a smith when all you really need to do is set it up right. Try switching ammo.

Been shooting rio high brass 20 for years now. It's at docs. If I get it back and it still hangs one up on ejection il let u guys know. I work like a loon so it's easier for me to let someone fix and I pay them.
