Recently acquired a G40 and am trying to pick a starting load. Plan on using 180 gr cast and possibly XTP's. I have Blue Dot and Power Pistol on the bench right now but I'm not opposed to buying a different powder if it's worth the trouble. Will be used primarily to hunt pigs and deer.

you are going to hunt with it, try the 155gr copper HP. Deadly @ 50yrds on big Fallow and Whitetail.

As a general rule, the 10mm is not picky on which powders. The main thing is what powders push the 10mm to it's fullest potential.

I shoot a sig P220 in 10mm, mine likes 10 gr 800x behind 180 gr XTP. your mileage may vary.
