Does anyone know if Winchester is still producing 22 Wildcat bullets. This has always been my favorite low cost 22 round. Back when there was a local shooting range with a rimfire steel target course here where I live, I shot many bricks of the stuff, as well as all other bulk ammo I get find. The wildcat always out performed the others in my 10/22 and my pistols. How I knew this was because the rimfire rang had some heavy goat shaped targets at 110 yards. I could knock these over with a single shot with wildcats. But with others like the Remington Thunderbolt, Golden Bullet and Federal Champion I could not knock these targets over. I would have to shoot two or three times in rapid secession and hit the target all three times to knock them over. I would also have to aim higher with other cheap ammo at those targets then with the wildcats.
Anyway, I have not seen it for sell for years and I am wondering if it is no longer in production. I went to the Winchester website and they still have an updated page for it, so I am wondering if it is just a shortage or something. Anyone know?
