After a screwup on my part last hunting season. I took my 204 to RD gun shop in Appleby to get the barrel and other metal Cerakoted desert sage and have the barrel threaded. When I got it back I didn't think the black stock looked that great. So I painted the stock which I think turned out looking great but the scope not so much. This has been my go to gun for several years. I have killed several deer and pigs with it. Last season I had it with me when I took my little nephew hunting and I put my Kolpin gun case in the bed of my truck. Well we got a little shower and apparently got some water inside the case. I did not realize that till the next weekend and I pulled the gun out of the case and it was soaked. It had already had some surface rust and it cleaned up great but I knew it was there. That's the reason for the Cerakote. What y'all think.

Sweet stick. You a Crosby native?
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Sweet stick. You a Crosby native? Went to school in Channelview but got out of there as soon as I could. Moved to Crosby five years ago

The stock looks cool, but I'm not sure I like the whole color scheme. Just doesn't seem to mesh well.

I like it, think you did good. How did you finish the stock? I just washed the old stock real good and lightly sanded it down. Took a can of camo spray paint and painted it. I was hoping to be a little darker but wasn't do that's when I took some black paint and a brush and did the splatter marks. Than put a clear coat on top. The green is actually a little darker than the pictures shows. This will work until I find me a wood stock for it. I'm wanting to find a laminated stock with a left handed thumb hole.

Looks good. You deer hunt with a .204?? Why not, it's not a center fire and legal to shoot. Have not had one deer take a single step or a pig at that matter. Ear hole the pigs and neck shoot the deer. And not mess up any meat.

Looks good. You deer hunt with a .204?? Why not,... I can think of quite a few reasons why not, but thought maybe you were joking or mistyped. If it works for you, carry on.
