After all the good spring rains, a wild pheasant report would be nice.

It would but its probably a closely guarded secret. It'd be nice to hunt in Texas instead of driving all the way to Kansas.

I farm in the panhandle, the reason he said to check back in October is because that's when we will be in the fields cutting corn. It's pretty hard to give y'all a real good idea because the birds are all in the corn fields. I can tell you that we had plenty of moisture this spring, followed by one of the hottest July's that I can remember. Tonight I was out with my year old PP pup and in the corse of about a mile we moved 8-10 birds most of which were this years hatch.
