Based on the success my hunting partners have had with Spincast, I ordered one to go on a new feeder set up. Has anyone used their 12 volt?

Is this the one similar to the Eliminator spinner plate? Spincast sell for around $20. ?

I have a new one that's been sitting in a box for a couple of months. Haven't gotten around to building a new feeder for it yet. I've used Spincast for over 15 years but this is my first solar panel.
Great unit and like that I can repair to the sub assembly level. Why, cause every now and then cows have caused damage.

Waiting on delivery. Did I read the instructions correctly, a 7" Ø hole, and the unit drops down from inside the barrel?

The box contains a funnel paper template that recommends you cut and use to mark the barrel for your cut. It's 7". I used self tapping screws on my last 2 feeders so that means I did not insert the funnel from the inside.
Many years back I was on a lease where some feeders were stolen. I switched to nuts/bolts, placed the funnel from the inside and secured. This prevented an easy feeder motor removal since one needs a wrench holding the nuts on the inside.

The huge barrel hole is probably the worst aspect of the brand
