Yes Mr. John, there has been a lot of collaboration with the Haydel boys on this call. I have to admit working with these guys has been great. They are truly salt of the earth good old boys. If you ever have the opportunity to met them you will see that their late father Eli Haydel raised them well, taught them how to run a call and build one too. Here is great story with a little background. When I first met the three of them was about 5 years ago. When we sat down at their office I handed them each one of my calls and explained how and what I was trying to achieve with my design. Of course, at the time it was only the hen version of the call which I sent you to try. (Which I'm happy to see your still using) Within 2 to 3 minutes Kelly gets up and goes back into the warehouse. So I keep talking with Eli & Rod. About 5 minutes goes by and Kelly reappears with my call and he has transformed it into a speck call. I knew right then my design was right but was open to tweaking it. This is exactly how T2 Teal Combo Call came to be, it was a metamorphosis of a guy with a combo call idea collaborating with a Family of professional game call builders. All I have to say is, what has become of this call is Good! And I hope waterfowlers abroad have great success with it, thats the ultimate goal!!!!

Congratulations and great story. The call behind your green one I bought off one of the Haydel brothers. I just wish they still made the DR95. Mine after several years of use got stepped on and broke.

Maybe I can get Kelly to build you a new one.

Cool story. I met Mr Eli Haydel at a show once and just got to talking, really down to earth guy. I use their calls pretty much exclusively.

I told Eli and the brothers I designed the original hen combo call as a finishing call for mid-range to close-inn work. Eli responded, we could name it the "Finisher". Who knows, maybe at some point another version of this call will be created and we could name it the "Finisher" in his honor.
That would be cool!!

Teal Blast Countdown start in 3

Seems like a pretty neat call and I need a new whistle anyway. I'm going to try it out.

Give it a shot! I use the teal call all season even on the big ducks. Very hunter down the flyway is screaming at them with hen calls. With this call you can change the game by hitting them with a few different call tones from different birds without changing calls. You will love this call and the results you get from it!!!!!
