My old blind kicked the bucket (literally fell apart when we tried to move it) and am in the process of building my first blind. Couple of questions:

1 - is 42" from floor good for rifle?
2 - going to be getting Deerview, really like how they support THF. Torn between the camo flip,horizontal, and vertical. Leaning vertical or camo flip as I like the full access, but concerned about lifespan. Anyone get have experience with the camo flip or vertical? Most of the pics I see are the sliders, so pretty sure they would last.
3 - any experience with the grey tint on the windows? I'd think the grey camo flip would be overkill and cause visibility problems...

I made a blind for wife and have the horizontal flip up style. She loves them. No need for tinted or camo if the viewer isn't backlit by another window....paint inside of blind black helps too. You won't be disappointed...

Thanks, wtjim. That was my concern since I'd have the 2 sides it'd show my silhouette and if using a curtain it'd be more movement to move those and pop up the window. I don't plan on putting a window in the back, so the front wouldn't be a concern.

I've got two blinds with the flip up windows and I am very pleased with them. However, do not get the camo. While I see a purpose for them, you cannot see out of them at all. There are some cold mornings where it would be nice if I could sit there with the windows closed, but couldn't because of the camo. Now I've got little slits cut in the camo. Go with the clear ones!

Thanks... that's what I was afraid of. The pictures were hard to tell, but they definitely looked difficult to see out of.
