Okay, here are the numbers, firmly "in the lands"

Where would you start with these bullets: 6.5 Creedmoor

1. Berger 140gr VLD Hunting: 2.859
2. Hornady 140gr ELD-X: 2.875

Load will be 42.4gr H4350

Since all rifles are unique, I always start a few thousandsth back from seating on the lands, and then begin creeping closer (or further away) from that starting point, watching for pressure signs and any improvement in accuracy or loss of accuracy. In your examples, I'd begin at 2.759 and 2.775, respectively, for openers. You'll find the "sweet spot" and then can change primers/powder charge to tighten it all up.

Start .020 back from jammed in the lands and go tall or shorter from there depending on groupings.

If they fit in the Mag, I start "even" with the lands. If the best powder charge needs improvement, start jumping in .005" increments.
