8 sections in SE Glasscock county, approx. 10 miles SW of Sterling City. In the heart of west TX Big Buck country. Looking for 10 serious, experienced, trophy minded hunters who can age on the hoof and are looking for the opportunity to become part of a well managed operation. Blinds, corn and protein feeders are provided. Lodging and/or trailer spaces are provided. This operation is getting off to a late start for this season but it has the potential to become a first class hunting operation, once all of the planned facilities and management options are implemented. I would prefer a group of hunters who have already hunted together and are familiar with each other and quality management needs. I understand that this is quite a stretch this late in the year. This will be an open use lease where all hunters get to hunt any blind and family and limited friends are eligible to participate. Dove, varmints and fall turkey are part of the bag limit. Quail will be leased separately. $4500.00 per gun. PM me with your name and phone number if interested. Ron Vanicek, Twisted Willow Outfitters LLC.

You take 163 south about 7 miles to FM 2139, old Big Lake or Radio Tower road. Go west for 18 miles and then turn north 4 miles. It is in the very southeast corner of Glasscock County with a few acres in Sterling county.
Also forgot to mention in the first statement that the ranch has 3, 200 acre wheat fields on it that are evenly spaced from the very north section, the center section and the southeast section. There is no other wheat fields, going north, west and south for at least 5 miles, and there is only one other ranch that has wheat that is one mile east of the northeast corner of the lease.
Sorry, no pics, has not been hunted for the last three years. Was lightly package hunted prior to that. Going by owner, pumpers, biologist and what I have already seen, this is a hidden diamond.
The way this ranch is set up with water and wheat fields presently, it is going to offer some very good hunting, especially once we get the protein going, additional water sites, offseason disking, and light cattle grazing. The brush density is very good and there is only one section that has a large amount of pear. You can easily find this place looking on Google maps.
Also, as I mentioned, it would be nice to deal with one group of hunters who already know each other, but at this late date, I know that's pretty much out of the question. I will gladly entertain talking to smaller groups who are looking for an outstanding hunting opportunity. Ron

Outstanding Country. Ranch Name? Please. Sounds like the Edmondson. My cousin borders it to the East.

Not sure of your location but it's 18 miles west of 163 on 2139/old big lake road and then 4 miles north. Edmondson ranch.

Quail numbers are outstanding, both bobs and blues. Getting feeders and cameras out. Should have some pics in a few days. 600 acres of oats planted this week.

Offering meat hunts for does and spikes. Still needing trophy minded hunters for the balance of this year or commitments for next season. Blinds and feeders are in place. I will meet and show the ranch to prospective hunters. Outstanding opportunity.
