Was wondering how the deer hunting is in Clay County area (Henrietta TX)
I have an opportunity to get on a lease, but never hunted that area
thanks in advance for any info.

Depends on which side of town but typically pretty good if there isn't a ton of pressure.

Area is between Petrolia and Henrietta on the East side of Texas 148 road.

If you have cover you will be fine. Was on a lease in that area from 96-07 and we killed several deer and had great turkey, quail, and dove hunting. Several ponds that were full of ducks.

We have a place in clay not far from petrolia with lots of cover and 4 ponds. Covered up with deer, turkey, ducks, pig, dove, quail and predators. If you are patient and let deer walk taking a 130-140 should be no issue.
