Was wondering how the deer hunting is in Clay County area (Henrietta TX) I have an opportunity to get on a lease, but never hunted that area thanks in advance for any info.

Depends on which side of town but typically pretty good if there isn't a ton of pressure.

Area is between Petrolia and Henrietta on the East side of Texas 148 road.

Area is between Petrolia and Henrietta on the East side of Texas 148 road. If you have cover you will be fine. Was on a lease in that area from 96-07 and we killed several deer and had great turkey, quail, and dove hunting. Several ponds that were full of ducks.

We have a place in clay not far from petrolia with lots of cover and 4 ponds. Covered up with deer, turkey, ducks, pig, dove, quail and predators. If you are patient and let deer walk taking a 130-140 should be no issue.
