I started with this:

Found it in a local shop for under $350 without scope. 30-06.
Since I had one, I sent it off to Pac-nor the first of June, and had them re-barrel it to a 6.5 Swede 1-8"twist 24" barrel.
While waiting, I found a Win. LA Super Grade stock with decent wood and bought it.

Barrel and action got here Friday and put it and the stock together on Sat. It looks like this:

Pac-nor Cerekoted the barrel in 'Midnight Blue'

Took it out to do break-in on the barrel. It was only 105 outside yesterday. Last 5 rounds looked like this:

The one at 9 o'clock I pulled. This at 100 yards. The 4 at 12 measured .471 center to center. This with Lapua 123 Scenar factory loads.
I still have some more break-in to do, mainly just shooting it and cleaning for another few 5-round groups but, I think this should work well.

Next will come working up some loads. Anyone have any favorites for 140 gr BT's and IMR 4350? wink

Pay it forward - Kids are the future.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

Sharp!

The bolt and cheek rollover are on the wrong side. Other than that, it's a beaut grin
