What time is everyone feeding right now this time of year?
My Deer are hitting the feeders right at 6am right now. What time do yours come?

A few sparingly hit it during the day however right at 6 mine are hitting.

Last year I couldn't get them to come at day light hours as it was always dark.

Trying to get them on day light time.

Ask yourself this, would you rather eat outdoors in 70s-80s degree weather or 90-100s? Deer are not too dissimilar to us, they prefer cooler temps...

I move the setting on my timer all the time. 10 minutes before sunrise. Plenty of good shooting light during the season. I have deer waiting in the bushes for it to go off. I also set it one hour before dark but not as much corn as I don't want them feeding all night. 10 seconds in morning, 4 seconds in evening.
I do the same in the summer but cut way back to 1/2 with 5 seconds in morning and 2 seconds in evening.

Corn Broadcast throws @ 6:30am and 7:00pm for 5 seconds each (not much corn since I installed the eliminator plate)

Lamco Protein drops 10 lbs at 1:00am and 10 lbs 6:00am

Half hour before sunrise and half hour before sunset. During season it'll be right at sunrise and an hour and a half before sunset

My deer are hitting the feeders about 30 minutes before they go off. I figured the heat of the day had a lot to do with it. I have 1 doe that visits about 1pm mid day! Blows me away when it's 100 out

I only feed free choice this time of year. The majority of deer hit the feeders at night due to the heat. I have some that show an hour or so before dark and a few that show up at first light, but the vast majority are feeding at night at the free choice feeders.

Once velvet is shed around Labor Day, I start the timed feeders up. I do like Mr. T and set the morning for a few minutes before sunrise and have to adjust as the days get shorter. I go ahead and set the afternoon for 5:30 (4:30 when the time changes to standard daylight time in the fall). I don't mind the feed on the ground in the afternoon until dusk/dark in the September. Once it begins to cool down, they'll begin hitting it while it is still light.

Mine were set at 6:15 and 7:15 evening beginning of July. I will adjust to 7 pm next week and leave it until Sept and then pull it back to 7. By November after time change the evening feeder will go off at 5:16. Morning will by set 15 min before daylight.
