Anybody seen any of these yet ?, guys on another channel are getting very interested and Trevor at Tract sez John the founder? will be in Ft Worth in August. Made in Japan & a good warranty with 30 day return priveleges.

Not a full line yet apparently when asked about mil mil thats still on the planning desk, but enough hunting scopes & binoc's to get started with. Trevor sez he shot a 300Winnie under one of the scopes and "shot the box" forwards and backwards about 40 times with no hitches.

Check Camera Land for pricing, as Doug chimed in on the thread I was reading. www.tractoptics.com

I think tract are the ex-Nikon guys. I haven't looked through them. the Direct to market approach has really caught in since Kuiu went to 0-50million plus in under 8 years.

As far as direct to market companies I took a leap of faith with Maven and I'm glad I did. Only big difference I found running them next to the EL's was edge to edge and digi scoping. Swaro where better but not 1100 better. I wouldn't say they are straight up alpha glass but pretty damn close. My only complaint is weight but I use a bino harness and tripod a lot.

This is getting almost comical.
Sig Scopes are the ex Leupold guys
Anthon scopes are the ex-Bushnell guys
And now the Ex-Nikon guys want in on the action..... Must be a lot of profit margin on scopes confused

I am not a brand loyalist, but do consider myself an optics junkie. I love great glass, and spend hours upon hours using it in the open country I hunt in W TX, NM, and Namibia. I currently own the 10x50 Swarovision (finest view I've ever seen), Leupold Gold Ring HD, Cabelas Euro (Meopta) 8x32HD, and recently owned but sold the Meopta 101x42HD, and Swaro SLC HD in 10x42. That being said, I recently bought the Tract Toric 8x42 because I've been wanting an 8x42 and don't want to spend $1500 on another SLC. You can read my impressions by following the link below, but in short the Toric is outstanding, on par with the Meopta HD, Conquest HD, and Razor HD, and superior to my GR and Euro HD. It is everything the Tract guys claimed it would be.

I bought the Toric 10x42 binocs last March. I swapped several email questions with Jon from Tract and researched the purchase pretty thoroughly as they were up against my perennial choices of Vortex and Leupold. They were very responsive, and seem to be a customer-focused company. Features, quality of components, and specs were very competitive so I decided to take a chance and support a new company.

I'll reserve my full review of the Torics until this season, but so far they have been very good binocs during summer time scouting runs. Build quality seems excellent, and thus far low-light sharpness has been very good.

I believe there is a big profit margin on scopes based on dealer programs. I can buy Bushnell, Burris, Leupold and Vortex for 60% off MSRP. Meopta is around that too but we are given a price for each item as as opposed to a percentage off.

Don't confuse MSRP for MAP pricing.

I get the G&O discounts with Leupold and Meopta myself. Not sure how you're getting 60% off retail though.

If this Tract Toric binocular had to be bought through a retailer it would be a $1000-$1200 glass.

I'm getting 60% off MSRP, not retail.
