I saw a Sig 380 semi-auto that looked so much like a 1911 with hammer, slide lock and side release but don't remember the model. Looked on Sig's site but did not find it. Wife liked the way it fit and felt in her hand. Any help would be appreciated.

P238 HDW? Top of my head, it has a very 1911 look and feel and comes in .380.

I only remember because I almost bought one at a show weekend before last, but "gunshow" prices are quite the opposite of what they used to be.

It doesn't have a grip safety, though.

The SIG reminds me a lot of the old Colt Mustang

It really is a copy of it. I have a sig p238 and really like it. I shoot it well as does the wife. We both call it the pocket rocket though. I didn't want a DA 380 and this was all that fit the bill at the time a few years back. I do like the factory trigger on it as it feels smooth and fairly short.

Confirming others it's a p238. They also make one in a 9mm version called the p938. It's just ever so slightly bigger. It's my wife's gun and she shoots it a lot better than I can because it fits her small hands so well.
