When you building a 6mm? I know you fell in love with it after this weekend. It's hard to knock the performance of the round.

It'll be a while, I've got two other rifles I'd like to have first. The 6 X 46 was pretty nice, with a 3040 MV and mild recoil. But my gut tells me my 6.5 Creedmoor would have done a tad better 800-1300 yards in those high winds.

My daughter's second center fire rifle will be a 6 X 47 Lapua.

Build her a dasher or brx once Bighorn comes out with the TL-3...it is more better than the 6x47 and the TL-3 solves all the feeding issues. Same speed and better accuracy with less powder...just saying.

I'm going to predict within the next two years you'll have a 6.

A guy is when making kits to run Dasher type stuff in AI mags. If Lapua starts making factory Dasher brass I'll go that route before I go back 6mm creed.

I'm just giving Jason [censored]. He had rifle issues and had to go to a back up in 6mm. I think there were a lot of failures in between our 2 squads.

I've got some testing to do. I either have a mistake on the ammo, or a barrel that has gone south. If it's the barrel, Judd says "they make barrels while we sleep". I'll holler at Greg with Bugholes, and get another.

My scope has to be sent off so don't feel bad.

Run these rifles, and scopes hard enough, and things are likely to have problems.

The Heatstroke Open is hard on man and machine.

As I understand it the Bighorn TL-3 solves all problems and allows you to run AI mags. Lapua does make brass you just have to fire it once first smile. Not sure if you knew but, Norma is making dasher brass (only sold @ bullets.com) and it might actually be better than the Lapua brass because the necks are longer but it requires a reamer specific to that longer neck. I've not swapped everything and probably won't because I have a brx and dasher fire forming barrels so it doesn't matter to much to me.

The problem is the case is so short. The tl3 is said to solve the use of aw mags with a 90° bolt throw which can be problematic.

I have not heard good things about the Norma Dasher brass as besides being longer neck requiring a different reamer a bunch came with large primers instead of small.

Here's a link that has a vid with the conversion in use. I watched it At a match run flawless on a new Impact Precision action.

No question, it's a little bitty booger...but efficient and inherently accurate...but you know that already. The only complaints I've heard on the Norma brass is the rims seem to be thicker on some and the shell holders aren't quite working. I hadn't heard about the large primers rofl However, you don't have to use the special reamer but it will cause you to have to shave off a fair amount of the neck if you don't. To me that would be an advantage enough to swap reamers...if my accuracy didn't go away long before I need more neck, but you don't need quite the accuracy I do.

I'm like you, I like my Lapua brass and fortunately...I've burned at least one brx and dasher barrel so I have one to fireform either with now.

Thanks for the link, I'd been waiting on the TL-3 because I believe my next build will be a short barreled brx or dasher just to see what it will do in that game with a suppressor.

It was pretty awesome with a lane 223 suppressor as they happen to work just fine on a 6mm.

The real treat was seeing David Tubbs new 6mm dtac. Pretty wild to say the least.
