Purchased an AR and want to change the barrel to a 18" bull barrel. Is this hard to do and where should I buy the barrel. It's a DPMS rifle. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

-Pull the hand guard off -remove gas block (may require a little force depending on stake) -use AR Armorers wrench to remove barrel nut I then use my BCG to break the barrel lose a little then wiggle out of the upper the rest of the way
Rinse and repeat in reverse order to put new barrel on and leave your hair silky and smooth.
note: the barrel spacer should have a pin on it that will slide into a little notch on the upper receiver business end...

Truth right there. I've got one with an ER Shaw fluted bull barrel. It was cool at first but now it's a safe queen. The thing is heavy.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Like others have said, you will hate that heavy sucker!!
If you are dead set on doing it anyway just watch a few you tube videos on how to remove an AR15 barrel. You will need a few tools like a Armors wrench, punches, crescent wrench, vice blocks, vice, possibly a torque wrench to use as a cheater bar and to measure torque of barrel nut. You may even need a new gas tube if you go with a different length gas system than what you currently have.
