Ive been waiting awhile for the 70 gr Barnes TSX bullet in 556 to come in to Midway. Its been on backorder forever it seems so today I was looking around and saw that they have IMI 556 77 gr in Sierra Match kings. SO I ordered some.

I hear excellent things about both bullets. Most of my shots at pigs or yotes are closer than or around 100 yards in thick cover.

I have no experience with either bullet in any caliber was just wondering if there is any difference?

I have also heard these are both great hunting bullets even though the sierra matchking says it is for Target

Comments on which one you prefer and why will be appreciated

Personally, I would have picked the Match Kings over the TSX anyway. They are consistent, easy to make shoot, and have often done a good job at quickly killing things.

I canceled my order with Midway last night before they shipped it.

I did order Match Kings but did I really want the gameking bullet instead?

Did I screw up and luckily caught it or is the Matchking a good hunting bullet? And I should just order them

I like Matchkings for hogs. Some guys may come on here and tell their success stories with them. Most everyone else will tell you Matchkings are labeled as a target bullet and shouldn't be hunted with. I like them for hogs most of all. Hogs having their tough hide makes a stout bullet do well.

This is definitely a hog killing only round for me and you of all people know so I am reordering them now.

Thanks!
