Thinking about getting the the wool get up for the extreme cold conditions.
Would love to hear opinions from guys that have used this gear in the extreme temps.
Expensive but how warm are you in the stand while doing all day sits in late November?

Thanks

Most of time I am comfortable in T-short and a pair of pants in November hunts in Texas, and that's north Texas not even south Texas....unless you are hunting well north of the border you prolly don't need to spend a ton on wool undergarments for November hunting.

We don't need wool in central Texas. Insulated coverall's and gloves will take care of my needs. Most of the time the coverall's are not needed but you can always pull them off if not needed.

Specifying that in the OP would have been helpful and avoided some of the posts already on here.

I have not used those specific garments, but I have found the Cabelas ECWCS gear to be really good at keeping the heat in. My wife has used and loved the UA thermal gear as well. Don't know how that would hold up in Alberta Novembers, but I typically sweat with just the ECWCS and a jacket when skiing in the teens...skiing isn't sitting in a stand tho

My apologies, I figured the reference to extreme cold temps in the OP would suffice?

I don't mean this to be rude but if you know anything about grey wolf woolens, you would know they only offer two basic options which are made for frigid temps. I guess I assumed folks would only post on here with experience using this gear in those conditions. No disrespect to the posters and I appreciate their comments. This gear is NOT for south Texas.

I have some of the Midway brand cold weather stuff and it is great for cold weather, and cheaper than a lot of other stuff out there.

I have used the King of the Mountain Wool in Alberta for years and it's the only way to roll.

No offense taken, but the terms "extreme cold" have a very relative meaning, especially when on a Texas hunting forum. You get all kinds on here from frail old dude to pansy city folk who never have spent a real day in cold weather, so didn't know what you were talking about initially....

Don't know anything about Grey Wolf, but I do use First Lite clothing and some Minus 33 layers in Kansas.

Extreme cold to a Texan does not mean the same to a Canadian.
