Is this NORMAL or DO I need to treat this deer for something???

Is there something wrong with this deer or is this simply how the coat is? Can someone let me know what causes this and what I can do to eliminate the problem? Thanks,

Looks like a typical summer coat to me. Perhaps a bunch of ticks in that area but that buck looks very healthy to me.

Looks like a typical summer coat to me. Perhaps a bunch of ticks in that area but that buck looks very healthy to me. thats my guess too

I assumed it was normal wear and tear for the summer coat but wanted to make sure. anyone tell me what is up with this deers leg???

Is this your first year with a high fence ranch? Reason I ask is stated in one of the questions above: how do you plan on treating it? Seems a weird question to ask about treating deer like they are livestock. The second picture all but confirms the diagnosis of a high fence owner or breeder, but is this your first year or just not very experienced? Not trying to rub you the wrong way, seriously. Just giving a little background will help people give more education as needed.

I don't think it's a problem. I see it a lot. Usually means nice antlers.
