Got a stand and fill base from Ramball36 to convert my tripod barrel feeder to stand and feed. Took the old legs off and placed the barrel on the new base, tightened it down and bam a stand and fill varmint proof feeder. Very nice work and Mike will take good care of you. It is so much easier to fill the feeder now. If you have a tripod feeder or a winch up I would strongly recommend getting a base from Ramball36. Much safer than standing on the side of the bed and tailgate of the Mule while lifting and balancing a 50# bag of feed. Life is too short for that!

I don't really see any good reason to not use a stand and fill. I get tons of traffic at my feeder.

Glad to know it all worked out for you John!

Here's the pic he sent me of the base mated up to his barrel/control unit.

Looks good. I should convert several of my 55s.
