Guys, I applied for all of my lottery hunts today. It really got the blood pumping after doing it. I put in for a total of $185 for just myself. I hit every category with multiple hunts. I really have my fingers crossed and I am hoping that I don't strike out again like I did last year. I really hammered in on the "gun deer-either sex" & "gun mule deer" & "alligator". Are any of you looking forward to this year or the results of your picks as I am? What are some of your favorite categories and places this year?
Don't worry, I won't tell.

Oh I love browsing the hunts as well. I have always enjoyed the public draw hunts in Texas as well as about a dozen other states. This year I drew pronghorn in Wyoming and New Mexico. I hope to draw one of the premium buck hunts here in Texas as well. I have not had much luck on drawing buck hunts here in Texas. But have been successful in the past with anterless and management hunts. Maybe this will be the year I draw the Chaparral January buck hunt.

I donated my $ to just about every category. Been about 4 years since I have been picked for any hunt, so hopefully this is the year.

do you stand a better chance to apply as a group or individually? Depends on your loyalty points. I have 8 in some categories but my dad has 4. So as a "group" we have 6 (the average of us 2).

I spent $41 lol. 11 hunts, but 1 one was a $10 application.
I really want to be drawn for South LLano River, Palo Duro Canyon, and Devil's River. Planning to stand-by hunt Schriener Park, Kerr WMA, Brazos Bend, and Palo Duro. Last 2 definitely, because BBSP iso only 40 miles from my house, and I went to Palo Duro for mule deer doe in January so I know the warden.

I put in on that hunt for the convenience of it. I did standby last year for both times. There were about 60 of us going for 1 spot I believe. Guess how that worked out for me.
