Twice in the past 5 years I have seen some unusual twin fawns around the house. One normal coloring and one melanistic. This morning when I go out back I find these 2. I can't help but think that these are the twins from 2014.

Very cool. Doesn't look like it'd take much to make them pets. Tortillas work really well.

A few years back the Parks & Wildlife Dept. published an article that said that about 5 % of the deer in Comal county were melanistic. I think that is a bit high but we do see a couple every year.
