I have a Warn 2000 on the Yamaha Big Bear. I had the ATV cleaned recently, and I'll assume they power washed it. Now the winch won't work. I am not a knowledgable winch person (or a knowledgable Wench person). What would you guys think the problem is likely to be - the winch itself, or the wind/unwind control? The wind/unwind control is the old style round one that you turn clockwise or counterclockwise.

Out here in the boonies, it's alllllways somethin...

I'd check power first. It should make some sort of noise if it's getting power. If it is getting power motor probably burned up.

Make sure the contacts are clean and tight and relay isn't full of water

most of these typically have an in-line fuse. That would be my first point to check.

You should give some serious thought to thanking your lucky stars your from Texas.

I don't know anything about them either, but I would get a volt meter and start at the battery and see where you stop getting juice.

I'm away for a few days, but will have a look at the wiring and try to find the fuse. First place I wanted to look was the fuse, but danged if i could find it. Gotta be in there somewhere.
