this mausoleum was built by one of my ancestors (Charles Lillibridge) in the mid 1850's, it was one of the first in Savanna. Charles dad, Hampton owned the a plantation that was previously owned by the provincial governor appointed by King George. The original plantation home was moved to its present location on Julian Street, the home is believed to be one of the most haunted structures in Savanna, and is still a destination on many of the ghost tours

Very cool. One of our daughters got married in Savanna a couple of years ago. Great city.

Old cemeteries are cool. When I was at SFA is was sort of a tradition to go have a drink at night in Oak Grove Cemetery amongst the various historical figures. They finally had to lock it up after too many jerks left trash or tried to steal something.
The haunted walking tours of the cemeteries in New Orleans are fun and informative.
The cemetery in the little town my dad grew up in has markers going back almost 300 years.
