Well, the last of my game cameras crapped out at the end of last season, so I need to buy about 5 new cameras. I don't know what the latest technology is, or who is most reliable, or what the best deals are out there right now, so any advice on a good camera will be appreciated.

I don't need a cam with email capabilities. Wanting good day and night pics. And would like to stay under 130 or so a camera.

Thanks in advance

Browning Strike Force has worked well for me. I need to keep my Swiss knife in the truck and use the pliers to pull the card because it is a small camera. only downfall but I get around it. I also like it reformats SD cards and deletes all the pics. I have had some SD's get formatting issues with my older Spypoint cameras. Doesn't mean the newer ones aren't better now.

The Dark Ops works the same in the day but night pics are not as good. On the other hand they don't have visible flash all night either, so may not be as invasive as a visible flash. I'll never know for sure.

I purchased a half dozen Spypoint IR-5's about 4 years ago and they have been awesome. Great battery life and have held up to year round exposure pretty well. A few latches have broken but nothing major.

I'm about to be in the market for cameras again and would be looking at the Spypoint 10, 11, or 12. Have seen great reviews on the 10's, but nothing firsthand. Heck the 12 has a built-in solar panel on it. I just checked sportsmanguide and the 10's are 90 bucks.

I would go with Browning Strike Force or Bushnell Trophy agressor. I have been trying several brands of cameras the past couple of years. The only problem I had with a browning was one quit taking night pics and I had to send it back. It takes very nice pics and very few false triggers. Great battery life.

The bushnells take very good pics, very sensitive trigger, you'll have a lot of false triggers, but lots of pics of deer, too. Great battery life and reliable.

Moultrie, well we have a few that are at least 6yrs old, and take really nice pics. Based on that I got an m880i and an ac-8. Pics were blurry, out of focus, and pixelated. I would not get another moultrie.

I tried Primos Proof 03 this spring. It broke in 3 days of use.

Buyer beware. Buddy of mine recently bought 3 brownings with 2 of them failing to take night photos.

He said they were good cameras after he got replacements

Bushnell or stealthcam have worked well for us. Cuddebacks take great pictures but almost seem like they're programmed to crap out in the texas heat after about 2 years.

My cuddeback blackout takes terrible night pics. Blurry on anything more than 10 feet away.

The wildgame camera I had would take a picture during the day anytime a blade of grass would move.

I appreciate all the feedback everybody. Thank you

Seeing popular opinion, and the price at midway, I'm probably going with the browning strike force.

Well, Moultrie has been good to us. We have at least 12 of the M-8XX series mini cams running at the ranch (everything from the old M-80 on up to the recent M-888 gen 2). They stay out 24/7/365 and several are coming up on their 5th or 6th season. Take clear pics and have good battery life. The newer models in the series are even better on battery, had a couple that went the entire fall and winter last year on one set.

Bought most of them on sale, you can find them for ~$85 if you look. For the price, I'm a fan.

I have had good luck with Bushnell's that I bought 2 yrs ago now. I have some older SpyPoints that have been good but do not take the best night time pics.

There are many new brands with good cameras now as Bestguarder, Crenova, ... at this time. Browning, Bushnell, Stealth Cam are still good, with cheap price you should consider Primos and Moultrie. To choose the best one, you should check the buying guide and reviews at my blog: http://www.trailcameraexpert.com/

There was a guy on here last year selling reconditioned gamecams. Is he still around?

Same here but I only have 3 of them out and running. They are easy on batteries and have taken great pictures. They are out 24/7 all year and have been now for 5 years on the oldest, 3 on the newest.

When these start acting up I will be going with the new brownings, they look good.

This past January, Walmart in San Antonio was selling the Moultrie A-5 Gen 2 cameras at a clearance price of $30 each. I bought 3 of them and have them set up at my feeders now. The pictures are great BUT it will take a picture every time a bird flies closer to the camera. One camera took 2765 pictures over a matter of 3 weeks. I had it set for a photo every 30 seconds. Still, 75% of the pictures had deer in them. After 2765 pictures, the batteries were still good (unit takes 8 AA batteries.) If Walmart puts them on clearance again at the end of the year for $30, you will need to pick yourself up a few of these. Good cameras for that price. But my stealth cameras have always taken quality photos and videos.
