Twice in the last two weeks, once fishing on lake Dunlap and once on our lease near medina.... Gobble gobble gobble ! Though that ended after spring These boys still hot to trot

Toms, and especially jakes, gobble year round, but the most prolific gobbling occurs in the spring.

I wasn't there to hear them but I have game cam pictures of an old tom displaying for a bunch of hens in July. Now maybe if they breed this late we'll have a longer season. Two of us took two toms this spring season. My son claimed we cleaned out all the toms on our lease. Then I discovered the biggest double beard I've seen on camera plus the one displaying. I have high hopes for next season.

I hear Jakes gobble at other Jakes all year round. They are practicing. Also, hens are always talking...
